In my case, I was two turns from the end when I snagged the buckle, it was
the last turn that threw me up on the handbrake and if I'd stopped right
then, I would have been just a few feet short of the finish.

Also, that first National was -- shall we say -- not exactly an artistic
success? We only got two runs on that course and just getting the event in
was such a challenge I doubt they'd have given me a rerun (or should have).

I like those duckhead latches today.  :-)
