Can't...it's too freakin' cold for CM. (Slicks on damp 40 degree pavement
is FUN!) I didn't make my point clear. Nothing to do with current Stock
rules. I don't want to put the wrong words into Larry's mouth, hopefully
he will forgive and correct me if I do, but he has made his opinion clear
on what constitutes "pure stock" and how the tires play into this. No "R"
compound tire should be allowed and all that. Larry is now shopping for a
competitive tire (that presumably meets his definition of "stock".) and I
thought it was amusing that he is looking at the Azensi's.
What I'm questioning is how does the evolvement of fuzzy tires affect
Larry's very conservative outlook on "Stock"? "Fuzzy tires" meaning I-
don't-care-what-it-says-on-the-sidewall, it aint no street tire.
Technically they meet his definition due to an arbitrary number stamped on
the sidewall, but they clearly do not meet the spirit of his
interpretation. (For instance they are not available on any car OEM.) I
just think the future is here and I am wondering how it is going to be
dealt with by those who have said it will not be a problem.

To a certain degree, STS is in the same boat, although Larry's definition
of stock is a bit more stringent. I would very much like to see how your
contingency plan will work. So, your plan should spell out the details of
the detection process and how SCCA will deal with this, right?? ;^p
