The 2001 Florida State Solo2 Championships will be held Sunday, November
11th at Gainesville Raceway. This year it is being hosted by Buccaneer
Region-SCCA. Look for this event to an exciting one. The setting will be the
new "test track" road course at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, FL. It
is a 24' wide twisting track that is an absolute hoot to drive. Check out

The Sheraton Hotel at 2900 SW 13th St in Gainesville, FL will be the
headquarters hotel. Phone number for the Sheraton Hotel is 352-377-4000.
SCCA Rate till October 26th is $69. Be sure to request the SCCA rate when
making reservation. Tech and Registration will be held from 6-8pm at the
Sheraton Hotel on Saturday, November 10th. Due to event restrictions and
conflicts with other events, we unfortunately cannot offer any course
walking on Saturday night. But, the course, late registration, and tech will
be open bright and early, 7am, on Sunday morning. Normal SCCA classes will
be offered including STS, STR, and SM as well as F125, and Formula Junior.
Preregistration is encouraged and requested. You can register at
http://www.buccaneersolo.org and can also find new and updated information
on the event, including maps to the site, entry list and soon the course
design. Due to the expected popularity of this event site, we are capping
entries at 200 entrants.
