It may not be military ties that are necessary.
NYPD does officer training out there. The main
problem is that it is now a bird sanctuary. It
does look great when you take a certain flight
path into JFK (west to east?). The only other
downside is getting there, unless you live in
Brooklyn (den dis woo be a f'in' great f'in'
site) [Brooklynese]. :^)

I've heard Floyd Bennett (sp?) on LI is huge
(national size). I heard it was
autoxed decades ago but the connection was lost.
There is a MGA club that is
still allowed to use this sight because someone
knows someone. Is there an
