I test drove a California Spec RX7 last Sunday.  It is a lot different from a 
Texas Spec RX7, it's a lot slower.  However, neither are competitive, by any 
stretch of the imagination, in CSP.  So first you'd have to have a National 
SPEC for the Spec RX-7, not too unreasonable especially since the class seems 
to have quite a subscription across the nation.  Then you could find a spot for 
them.  I'd be surprised if the California Spec RX-7 (12a) was competitive in 
CS, if they ran spec that would include the spec tire.
