I do not know if there is any response mapping on the GM system for normal
driving (although I would not rule out the possibility) but I don't think
it is used to maximize acceleration.  If wheelspin is detected however, it
will reduce throttle angle - just like the throttle relaxer on TCS-equipped
V8 F-cars.  This is turned off when traction control is turned off.
