Because the MR2 doesn't have enough flat spaces to store all the
magnetics, Eric made a sheet metal book to put them all in. It works
wonderfully to keep them straight and flat.
The book itself was light--until we put the magnetics in it. Since
before we'd always picked them up and put them on individually, I had NO
idea how much those suckers weigh. Now, granted, the book has both Kumho
and BFG magnetics in there, but just with all the contingency and SCCA
magnetics and our two 5's, two 7's, and four 1's, you've got nearly 15
pounds. At only 130 hp and already 2555 pounds (plus driver), I'm not
excited about giving away any weight. ) :
