For those still looking for rooms in Pahrump....
There was some confusion at the Days Inn. Desk people thought that "reserved
for SCCA" meant that the room was booked. As of Monday, Rick said there were
still rooms. Check back with the Days Inn (775-727-5100) or check for
cancellations at the Saddle West (1-800-433-3987). Rick (775-727-1936) or
(ckostelaz@net-nerds.com) also has a few aces up his sleeve to share with you
if these two fail.
Side note...once the Spring Mountain Motor Sports Park gets the last of its
improvements in and is frequented by SCCA and other club-type racing events
in addition to the Bragg-Smith driving school, the word will get out what a
fine facility this is. Some wise investor might get the idea to build a
"racer's motel" nearby. Until then, the snowbirds get first pickings during
the winter months.
Pahrump Mania over Thanksgiving was a blast and Rick has been working hard to
make this Divisional a success, so do whatever it takes to joing us.
