I thought I recalled the LE with 14x6" BBS being a '93 model. It also
had slightly stiffer springs, Bilsteins, ABS, the works. A guy in
Spokes had one for a while until it got wrapped around a tree (no
serious injuries but a totalled car).
The 14x6 wheel makes it practical to run 225/50R14 BFG's which some
believe make a significant difference on the Miata. It'll be
interesting to see if any pop up in CS if the proposal to reclass the
1.6 carries.
