When I put the hard top together for my son's series 5, I used silicone/RTV 
to seat the quarter window seals.  I then took the top to a guy to fix the 
sags in the headliner that does professional sod interiors.

I took about an hour long lecture from "Eddie" about the use of silicone in 
ANY trim work.  He told me what to use but I don't remember.  You can call
