Aloha Vic,

There has been a rash of bad condensers. I've had 2 new condensers fail,
each with less than 200 miles on them. Can't remember who I got them from,
but they were not US made. They had a black wire and were slightly smaller
than the old Lucas one (orange wire) I used in the interim. I got a US-made
Standard Automotive condenser from Jeff at Advance Distributors. While it
also has a black wire, it is well-made and no problems in 600 miles.

They have Blue Streak points as well - also made by Standard. It was almost
perfectly identical to the 20-year old Blue Streak set I kept because they
were excellent points. I got tired of wasting time using current poor
quality new parts.
