I had the same problem about 4 years ago.  I changed out the distributor and
that solved the problem.  It was a worn out bushing that caused a slight
wobble in the shaft.  This in turn caused a stumble at low rpm.  It showed
up with Pertronics because of the close tolerance on the  pick up of the
signal.
My advise is to borrow a distributor from a fellow sixer and see if that
solves your problem.  if It does, then you have to decide whether to buy a
new one or rebuild your current distributor.
