It's nice to be posting back on the 6-pack list. I'm my own DPO right now.
About 2 years ago I planned to sell my 73 TR6 and do some traveling and work
overseas. Went, but didn't sell the car. Also relocated to Phoenix a
couple of months back and drove nonstop the TR from San Francisco to
Phoenix, roughly 804 miles, in a single day. Great drive, top down quite a
bit of it, and an O/D sure helps. 27mpg overall.
Okay, I'm my own DPO because while I wasn't driving, the car sat outside in
the elements, not even covered. So, I now have some rust and body work
needing addressing. I need 2 new rocker panels, a spot or two of rust in
each door, and cracked paint etc fixed. I'm new to the phoenix area and
I'm hoping a member down this way can point me to a LBC friendly body shop
for repair and a decent paint job. Anywhere from Scottsdale to Tucson is
fine.
