Rick, not sure this would suit your purpose but Racetorations and a few of 
the English Supply houses have some very nice gear shift knobs with the 
overdrive switch built right into the shift knob.  It is a push button in a 
machined 
knob.  The knob can either be used as is or it can be covered in a leather to 
match the interior.
