"The bolts are metric, by the way." Are you sure? My 71 TR6 ignition lock had a 5/16x3/4"" coarse thread shear bolt set holding it in place. The later TR6's used a different ignition switch, though the lock portion was the same. The REPLACEMENT lock I got from TRF had an 8mm/1.25 pitchx30mm shear bolt set included.
