Your best bet would be to buy a used ZS carb. I am guessing $25
for a whole carb.
You could try Burlen Fuel Systems. They still make the ZS carbs
new, I think it is
www.burlen.co.uk and see if they will sell just the strip. My bet is
they will want to sell you
complete compensator too. But maybe not.

I followed the Hard Start Hot thread (it's a problem for me also) and
took Vance's advice to calibrate the temp compensators. I found one
working well, the other not working at all. So I need to replace the
bi-metallic strip..
Anyone know a supplier? The big three will replace the whole unit
for $60, presumably containing the strip... If it's any help, the
working strip says KANTHAL 200LE on it....
Suggestions appreciated.
