I used to refer to the TR6 exhust note as a 'burble' - that's just what it sounded like to me. Notice I said used to - since I had the motor re-built a few years ago with a few modifications (up- graded cam, higher c/r, bored, polished, etc. but no changes to the exhaust system), the exhaust note changed quite a lot. It's still pleasing, especially in the high revs, but I do miss the original sound. Dennis Culligan / 1976 TR6 CF57948U - TR6IUMPH Burble-less in NY.  |
