I do not understand your point. We all know these are old, perhaps antiquated 
cars. So are mid-60's pony cars, Model T Fords, and '58 Corvettes. None of 
these cars can even remotely compare to modern cars in terms of reliability and 
refinement. These older cars were never that reliable when new and required 
regular servicing to keep on the road. Old cars are old cars. Anyone who 
doesn't get that will be perinially unhappy if he buys an older car. 
 
Still, I derive some satisfaction that, unlike the Mazda in my driveway, my 72 
TR has NO plastic cladding or bumper fascia's. It is as honest and direct as a 
shot of straight Kentucy whiskey. People who don't like straight whiskey should 
stick to w(h)ine coolers.
