The overdrive gearbox works very well, except that it leaks a lot of oil. The
leak(s) appear to be coming from the joiny where the overdrive is coupled to
the gearbox and tail assembly. I am NOT gifted transmission technician by any
means, so the prospect of opening this thing up does not enthuse me at all!
I do have a mechanic that trust who services my other vehicles and has had a
lot experience with import cars, including British. Does fixing these leaks
require a specialist equiped with an assortment of "veddy British tools and
spanners"?
By the way I am attempting to rebuild my trunnions with a new trunnion kit this
weekend. Any suggestions or warnings for me?
