Headlight Stone Guards

Hi everyone,  I bought a set of those chrome wire stone guards from Moss 
because I thought they looked kinda cool.  I installed them with the 
clips that came with them and they sit about a half inch or more in 
front of the headlight.  Looks a little strange and was just wondering 
if anyone else had a set and if theirs were the same way.
