The hinged chrome pulls you are referring to is not original to your car. I
believe they were used through the TR4A.
The 'molded in' finger pull began on the TR5/250 if I am not mistaken and
several years of the TR6. It was not part of the door panel but instead a
separate finisher that ran from the window channel down to the top of the
door panel. I have seen the hinged chrome pull used on a number of 250's and
6's also although not original. My 250 had the chrome pulls when I bought it.
The chrome pulls are available ... I just noticed them in a Victoria-British
catalog...$15.
