Hi,
I know that the book does not seem to make sense, but it is right.
However, the better way to set than cam timing is to use a dial indicator
and a degree wheel to get the cam timing perfect. If you have access to
these tools, I highly recommend them.
If not, the 11/12 on the rock method works good enough.
