John --- thanks, talk about an oily mess... will be interesting to see if my
now unplugged hole is all it takes.  i'm not putting in the tranny tunnel
until I've had a long hot drive just to check it out...

btw... like your car selection!  Have the 6, Also an 87 XJ6, looking seriously
at an 88 XJS V12 also...
