Hi Todd,

The J-type won't take the torque from the engine in 2nd gear. One of the
guys here tried it against general advice. The OD lasted about 2 weeks
before it sucked the big nana.

The A-type is stronger. Someone on the list was talking about a P-type
converstion a couple of months ago which is strong enough to be used in all
forward gears (I thought I read it came off a Jag, but open to
correction...)

I've been under the impression that the J-Type O/D only works in 3rd & 4th
gear.  Is there some law that says it can't in 2nd...that is if a switch is
installed on the top cover?
