Joe,

I purchase a spin-on adapter from Moss and have had it installed for a few
months. It hasn't leaked a drop and pressure looks good. If you do it,
see the recommendation below.

>From the VTR maintenence site--
"Consulting a FRAM filter catalog, I then discovered that the recommended
filter, a PH 2825, did not seem to be equipped with a filter relief valve.
Further research suggested that a PH3600 filter was a perfect phyical
match, and most importantly, it was equipped with a 9-12 pound filter
relief valve built in. This filter was fitted to 81-92 Ford Escorts and
86-95 Ford Tauruses, making it readily available for a long time to come.

I have been having difficulty keeping a good seal on my oil filter and when
I
put pressure on the system it leaks via the filter can. I have heard a
little
something about a conversion kit to use the self contained oil filters. Can
anyone give me a little info on these and what they think of them.
    Thanks,
        Joe
