- although, I have not used a 8 volt battery, I have been told that you need to set up the regulator to charge at 8 volts. You're lights should work better because the 6 volt light are rated up to 8 v

- Thanks for the responses to my problem. I checked the regulator and saw no adjustments for the 8 volt. It looks like a fairly new regulator. Do I need to replace the regulator now? It is charging acc

- turn everything in truck off. put a test lite between ground cable and ground cable post on battery. if it lites you have a draw, short. disconect things one at a time till it goes out. reg ulator, a
