It sounds like the Florida region has Regional events where they let the vintage cars run in one or two groups. How does this affect the track time? When the SF region has its one or two vintage-only

To all my fellow racers... Could we start a discussion of current entry fees vs. track time? Meals = and banquets included? Any donations of proceeds to charity? I seems to = me that there's a wide d

Ok, I'll bite. These things sure take a bite out of my wallet. ;=) For the HMSA events put on by General Racing Ltd. (that's pronounced Steve Earle), the entry fees are $200 for the small club events

I'm certainly not an authority on this, having entered only 3 vintage events so far, all in the East. The Mitty (HSR), The Jefferson 500 (IEI), and the Festival at Mosport (VARAC). I got the most tra

To continue my earlier post.. track time at VARAC Mosport is 2 hours and 45 minutes spread over three days, which is about 15 minutes more than the time at the Mitty or Jefferson 500.. a great deal i

I forgot to mention the track time. At the big HMSA events, track time is pretty dismal for the $300. At Monterey, you get one practice session on Friday, and then on your race day, you get a warmup

There's one problem with this logic. If the vintage events were so wildly profitable for the region, how come we only got one date on the calendar. If they figured they had a cash cow on their hands,

As with most other Regions, I doubt that SCCA Vintage could support itself for a full year; I know that we cannot in the Southeast. However, we can be a major contributing factor to the other, region
