I've been using Porterfield (carbon kevlar) relinings for the shoes of my 56 ALFA with mixed success. I'm not convinced that they are any better than stock and they cost almost $400 for all 4 wheels.

I heartily agree with Jim. My car (1958 VAY Special) couldn't lock-up with stock 10" drums and shoes. CarboTech linings made an enormous difference I can actually slow-down and go through chicanes et
