Hi All, I run a stock Lucas alternator on my MGB racer (and don't spend any time or effort charging/swapping batteries). Any thoughts on the value of decreasing alternator RPMs with a larger pulley?

I own both an MGC street car and an MGB racer. The pad and caliper design is completely different. Unless you are talking about somehow swapping calipers too I don't see the two being compatible. The

My 2 cents on ballast resistors: My experience with ballast resistors (or lack thereof) is that they ARE NOT optional where recommended. I race a MGB that I bought as a partially race prepped shell.
