Listers, I have seen T/R 3's with one fluted light and one solid lense fog light and also 2 with the same lense mounted, which is correct, 1 of each or 2 with the same lense. "FT" /// triumphs@autox.

Not sure what is correct, but I also have a Lucas driving lamp and a Lucas "fog-a-nator" lamp. So my guess would be either depending how you wanted the car delivered???? Are these ran off a separate

Pretty much "owners choice" Fred...basic therory is clear lens for clear night, fluted (fog) lens for foggy night...generally worked/switched indendently. IMHO -- Bill Pugh 1957 TR-3 aka Casper TS167

I've some vintage Wipacs (stainless steel), grill mounted, both clear. Mounted a toggle switch where the O/D (sad no O/D) switch would go, along with an indicator light, like the yellow directional.

Based on my experience in the dealership in the '50's we would try to sell one each, driving light and fog light. It made a better sale and a balanced look on the "badge bar" which we sold with it.

The "Flame Thrower" part is familiar however, I'm not sure it was connected to "Lucas." It seems to me that the Jags (sportscars) and larger Brit sedans had some driving lights that were about 8" to
