IMHO the colourtune is more accurate, it lets you see differences in balance as well. However, you probably want more than one so that you needn't take it out every two seconds. its not neccessarily

I got one when I first got my car together. I had no end of trouble setting up the carburetors before I got it. Afterwards, I had no trouble at at. I thought (and still do think) that it was great!
