It appears that my Rocker Arm assembly is shot. The shaft is very worn. I can see ridges where the rocker arms have worn into the shaft. Since the best price I have found on a rebuilt Rocker Assembly

My local LBC mechanic who did the overhaul on my 1970 TR6 charged me about $180 for rebuilding my rocker arm assembly. The rockers where rebushed in bronze, rehardened and a new shaft was used. This

Sounds like you have a good mechanic. They only mechanic I know of locally (New Orleans) charged me $200.00 to change two Ujoints on the drive shaft on my 71 TR-6. I had broken my left thumb rather b

I feel your pain :) I would go with a rebuild. Get the shaft and the bushings on the rocker arms from wherever and take the new stuff to your friendly local machinist and have him ream the new bushin

My rocker shaft looks like it has maybe 1/32 or a little less wear. I wonder if this explains some of the knitting machine sound that's been emanating from under the hood? I know the valve train is a

I recall that as I was building my TR6 engine my next door neighbor was rebuilding a Ford 260 (if I remember correctly) and he bought new pistons for it for $150 (that's EIGHT pistons) and I paid $2
