You can use a MIG to plug weld, which will work in place of spot welding. The MIG can weld in many situations where the spot welder would be useless.

I strongly suggest the trailer as opposed to the dolly although either is possible. The clearance between the wheels (side to side) is just enough to fit on the trailer. If you are renting both truck

Yep, I used a U-haul dolly before. The TR's wheel track was too narrow to fit both wheels in their proper locations. I put one in & lashed the devil out of the other & crossed fingers on both hands
