I've seen people do it on 4.5" Spit rims but I wouldn't... 175's are about as big as I'd go. You're just not gaining anything with the wider tire on the skinny rim. I think Mk.III Spit rims are 4" (M

I've got 175/70-13 on mine and they work just fine AND have the right rolling circumference so as not to upset the speedometer reading. This is on the 4.5" rims my car was delivered with. On the 6" a

Thanks for all the helpful replies. I have someone who has a pair of 175/80/13 tires for sale, very good condition and inexpensive. Will this size fit and work on the stock Spitfire rims? Lenny Seidm
