Thanks Dave, Ive got the TRF heavy duty underlayment which is actually thinner the the regular so I think that should be ok. Thanks for your help, John

I just installed a plastic transmission cover on my '72 GT6. I was replacing the original fiberboard cover which indeed still had the fiberglass insulation stapled to it. I am quite sure the plastic

Steve is right. I have a fiberglass transmission cover. I added the same material I believe. I got it from the lumber yard. It is the blanket for a water heater. I think I paid $20 or $30 for it. Jef
