- Hi Noah : Likely a broken "top hat" bushing Also broken "top hat" I'm sure John explained this, but JIC : The TR4 tranny takes a different mainshaft than the TR3, you will have to buy an OD mainshaft

- Randall has answered all your question as I would (if I were that smart). I just wanted to chime in and sya that I have used John Esposito for gearbox and OD parts and advice and was very satisfied.

- Forgot to mention, the adaptor plate is also different. I believe the TR3 plate can be modified to fit the TR4 gearbox, the main issue is clearance for the ends of the reverse and counter shafts. The

- Hi Noah Absolutely correct, the od draws its oil from a small sump area that is replenished by oil from the gearbox, how much damage will depend on how well the filter is working, but yes eventually
