Hi Noah : Likely a broken "top hat" bushing Also broken "top hat" I'm sure John explained this, but JIC : The TR4 tranny takes a different mainshaft than the TR3, you will have to buy an OD mainshaft

Randall has answered all your question as I would (if I were that smart). I just wanted to chime in and sya that I have used John Esposito for gearbox and OD parts and advice and was very satisfied.

Forgot to mention, the adaptor plate is also different. I believe the TR3 plate can be modified to fit the TR4 gearbox, the main issue is clearance for the ends of the reverse and counter shafts. The

Hi Noah Absolutely correct, the od draws its oil from a small sump area that is replenished by oil from the gearbox, how much damage will depend on how well the filter is working, but yes eventually
