- I added an alternator to my 1967 TR4A from a BMW 325. It worked, however, since I am finishing a rebuild, I want to address the pulley/fan belt dilemma. The original pulleys for the car are for 3/4"

- One alternator conversion is the one the late Bob Schaller suggested in his pamphlet "MORE BS ABOUT TRS"... His switch was to use a Ford alternator with external volttage regulator. I've got this sol

- Adam: look into a GM "one wire" conversion. The GM alt only needs one wire hooked up to the Pos. side of the solenoid. It is internaly regulated, so there's no other wires. Check "Hot Rod" or "street

- You might wish to pass up the lovely Nippondenso if you don't want to have it rebuilt often ($180 was the best I found at NAPA, etc. until I found a local wholesale rebuilder to do it for $125), and
