Put them in hot water so they get soft, slip them on the accelerator shaft and push hard. This is the way I procedeed whit mine. Hope this will help! Jonathan 76' TR6 71' TR6

Ron, I will add that the water should be boiling hot (think cooffe cup& microwave), and use silcone lubricant. Silicone lube won't weaken plastic or rubber. It's still tough though. If you can, remo
