I got my BMIHT certificate today and all numbers, options, and colors match the car (except whitewall tires). This should be a great candidate for restoration.

You can always send +/-$40 to BMIHT in the home country for a complete build record, which should include the original engine number. Sorry, I don't have the address handy at home. My guess, though,

I don't think the factory even kept track of which engine numbers went with which commision numbers. The engine numbers were slightly higher than the commission numbers. Of hand it looks like it coul

Not unique by any means. In New York, and I think lots of other states, when these cars were new, they were often registered with DMV by engine number, NOT by Commission number. I've seen several TRs
