Now, I m really confused on timing! Kenneth Ball says one way, my Bentley WS manual says another, and David Templeton another. He says 8 degrees is correct, and the static timing light should go off

Paul, that VTR procedure should work fine. If the engine isn't starting then either the timing is somewhere outside the 4-to-8 degree ballpark or there is something else wrong. Geo H == This list sup
