- I get that too... seems to be eliminated then I put the windscreen under the bed for a few months (while I use an aeroscreen) and it comes back again. Lots of one of the usual rubber/vinyl treatments

- I am venturing that the stuff you are describing is the same sort of stuff that was on my Spitfire gaskets. It turned brown after a while and was quite disgusting. I removed it with some cleaner that

- Try a wax remover from the hardware store. Be sure to test it on a piece of rubber similar to your gasket to be sure it is safe. Do not use Goof Off, and don't ask me how I know that. Best regards, T
