- They're not airtight what with the way the shifter box is constructed. I mean you can fill these things by pouring gear oil in the top when the shift lever goes so I'm not sure what an air vent would

- I just finished lapping my own valves on my TR3. new valves old head. used my 30 year old lapping tool. always worked well before. did not let me down this time. after lapping I filled the ports ful
