funny, i went to pull out my tiger last weekend and had the same exact problem, but felt the hand brake pull up too easily, like the drums were frozen locked. i havent gotten around yet to r&r'ing it

fyi, mercian manuals got my "Works Tigers 1964-1966" book to me in ny from the uk in 6 days flat, incl the weekend days. expensive due to our crummy amazing shrinking dollar, but fast and a cool book
