Should you have a Bentley manual, there is a great troubleshooting, step by step through this problem. My car had the wire between the side of the dizzy, to the points plate, broken. I replaced that,

Suspect the points. Do you have that insulator washer in the correct spot? Turn on the key, remove the dizzy cap, flick the points with a screwdriver, see if they spark. If they do, now hold the coil
