Anybody know any magic tricks to getting the Rivergate tranny mount in successfully? I've followed their procedure but I'm having extreme difficulty lining up the (2) bolts that go up through the pan

Just went through this two weeks ago with my 68 Midget ribcase. Take a phillips head screwdriver just a tiny bit smaller than the bolt. Insert in one of the holes and line up the bracket. While the

I went through this last Monday with the 65 and original ribcase. I tried the screwdriver thing, but to no avail. I finally found one of those round knife sharpening "sticks". It had a tapered end, a

Grinding a bolt to a point seems to be a good option. I've tried drift punches, phillips screwdrivers, etc. and still cannot get lineup. For some reason the mount seems to be in a real bind up-and-do

Can you see up into the bolt hole using a penlite flashlight?? When I did mine, I found at first that the cradle bracket for the tranny was twisted front to back. Once I pried it into place front to
