- I am wondering about something. When I tore apart my Sprite Mkll 948cc almost every major nut had a lock tab on it. Are lock tabs necessary for everything to stay tightened? If so could lock washers

- Lock washers can be used on most external bolts. Loctite should be used on rod and main bearings. again lock washers on the oil pump and cam plate. I would stii use lock tabs on the cam timing gear,
