I am wondering about something. When I tore apart my Sprite Mkll 948cc almost every major nut had a lock tab on it. Are lock tabs necessary for everything to stay tightened? If so could lock washers

Lock washers can be used on most external bolts. Loctite should be used on rod and main bearings. again lock washers on the oil pump and cam plate. I would stii use lock tabs on the cam timing gear,
