She starts and runs too good. I can not get the RPM down to acceptable levels. Throtle adjustment screws clear off. Linkage is adjusted properly. Used WD 40 to test for leaks. Flats at 11 both. Supos

I think acceptable levels for Spridgets are around 1kRPM. Although I've gotten them to idle much lower than that, anywhere from 600-1000 should be OK. How's the timing?

Timeing is spot on at 5 degrees BTDC dinamtic but it loves less if the truth were known.

Tomorrow I think I must drop the needles south just a bit, maybe .010 and see if that makes a difference in the idle. I am out of ideas but for that.

Always, always, always top off the dashpots when SUs start acting flaky. Then, check for vacuum leaks.

I just checked the needles with a very sharp straight edge and readjusted both for what it is worth. I note that I have a carb leaking down the mixture adjusting bolt again. Those darn cork gaskets I
