- Hi Daniel, Recently I took apart a low serial number thin flange block and found a set of rods with these numbers on them. They were attached to an EN40B crankshaft. Perhaps on the engines made with

- isn't it the 1967 1275 that had the cooper "S" distributor, rods and EN40B crank , the no smog casting cylinder head etc.? some screw up in manufacturing and a lack of "standard " 1275 parts pressed

- A correct guess Paul. Early 1275s (12cc engine #s) used these rods with the EN40 B crank. Cooper came out with it first and the Spridgets used it before de-tuning in 1968. -- Frank Clarici Toms River
