- The only thing I know to do is readjust the mixture periodically as you climb. Count the flats as you lean it out (or un-richen) and reverse the process on the way back down and you should do fine.

- Does your friend's car have a Weber or is it running SUs? My understanding is that SUs are much better at coping with altitude changes. I once ran a rally in my bugeye that took us to the top of fall
