- Hey All, What is the displacement of a 1275cc engine after it's bored 30 over? Kevin V. /// unsubscribe/change address requests to majordomo@autox.team.net or try /// http://www.team.net/mailman/list

- Well, I believe .060 over is 1330, but to be accurate, there are a lot of variables. Is is the head shaved (smaller combustion chamber); is the block decked? What pistons, etc. Thanks for the vote of

- OK, before I get deluged with emails, I stand corrected. I mixed up CR with displacement. The answer to Kent's original question is 1301. I'll be putting the formula on my web site for future referen

- According to the Autopress Ltd. book, the 1275's bore/stroke = 70.61/81.28mm Converting these to inches = 2.77992126"/3.2" Displacement = (pi*bore^2/4)*stroke*# of cyl so: pi*2.77992126"^2/4 = 6.0695

- The point may be academic at least for A-series engines since there may not be pistons available in that size. Standard overbore sizes being 20, 40 & 60 Daniel1312 /// unsubscribe/change address requ

- I answered Kevin directly (BTW, .040 over is 1312, Pilot). I should have posted the math to the list. Head chambers, etc., affect compression ratio, but the displacement is simply how much air (volum

- Pistons are (or were) available in 30 over. I got a set from Peter C. (in the spring of this year). The block is bored and all the machine work has been done to the crankshaft, rods and head. All I

- Well, unless they're a heck of a lot better made than they were ~30yrs ago, they're going to have to be custom anyway, and assuming sizing hasn't changed since then they are 'standard' in 0.005" incr
